Smokey in the Basket
On Christmas morning, six children found a surprise beneath the tree: a little black Labrador-mix puppy curled up in a basket among the colored lights, tinsel and homemade ornaments.
Patty Mooney turned that family memory from her childhood into a warm, whimsical song, and used AI-assisted imagery to bring the morning back to life.

The pictures
AI-assisted imagery recreates the feel of a mid-century family Christmas: children in pajamas, a glowing tree, a cozy home, and the moment a puppy becomes part of the family.
The song
Written and created by Patty Mooney, Smokey in the Basket is a playful holiday song and a tender remembrance of childhood, family and one very special Christmas dog.
