Doede de Jong (1949–2022)
Grower & activist
A symbol of resistance who challenged the contradictions of Dutch cannabis law. In a landmark 2015 court decision he was found guilty of cultivation but received no punishment, a significant victory in his fight for responsible, transparent cannabis growing.
His passing in 2022 makes his appearance in this film especially poignant, preserving the voice and conviction of a man who refused to back down.
