Nature as nourishment, medicine, memory and wisdom
Root & Remedy is a contemplative film by Patty Mooney exploring the enduring relationship between human beings and the natural world, and the ways plants, roots, earth and ancient knowledge have long been associated with healing, resilience and renewal.
Blending evocative imagery with Patty’s poetic filmmaking sensibility, the video treats nature not simply as scenery but as a source of nourishment, medicine, memory and wisdom. It invites you to consider what grows beneath the surface, both literally and metaphorically, and how reconnecting with the earth can help restore a sense of balance and belonging.
