North American Journey
In 1986, Mark and Patty loaded a small Chinook camper and spent nine months on the road from San Diego to Alaska, filming it all on a rare VHS camera. Raw, vintage and true, it’s a window into a quieter North America.

The founders
Made by filmmakers, not a studio.
Mark Schulze and Patty Mooney started New & Unique Videos in 1985 to produce and distribute their own films. Mark built one of the first helmet cams to shoot The Great Mountain Biking Video. Patty rode in the first Mt. Everest Mountain Bike Rally. Together they’ve spent four decades filming stories as they happened.
