Ultimate Interval-Training System
Steppin’ Out
A full-body step workout that mixes aerobic conditioning with strength training in intervals, led by fitness instructor Carrie Weiland.
You set the challenge yourself. Raise or lower the step, pick up heavier or lighter weights, and push the intensity up or down, so the same hour works for beginners and advanced athletes alike.
Carrie also wrote and sang the soundtrack, so the music was made for the moves.

Step and weights, in intervals
Step aerobics was the workout of the moment when this tape came out. Steppin’ Out takes it further by alternating step routines with dumbbell work, so your heart rate and your strength training both get their turn in the same session.
Carrie cues every move clearly and shows options for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. It’s good cross-training for any sport, and a solid hour of exercise on its own.

Still a good workout
The slouch socks and high-cut leotards give away the era, but the training holds up. Intervals of cardio and strength are as smart today as they were then, and a step, a pair of dumbbells and an hour are all you need.
